Bustin' My Butt!

This has been a rough 2013 for me, healthwise. I'm happy to report, though, that being half way through the year, I'm finally on track and feeling 1000 times better!

I began this year with gallbladder removal surgery and the delightful realization by my doctors that I can no longer eat any wheat/gluten. Thanks, Celiac! This apparently has been my issue for the last five years, and it wasn't until my symptoms were causing serious damage to my small intestine and gallbladder that we picked up on it. That, and my bloodwork was showing dangerously low vitamin levels.

So, instead of losing weight like many Celiac sufferers, I was one of those who gained weight. Fun times.

Skip ahead a few months, and like I said, I'm on track. I'm careful about the food that I eat. I'm mindful of what I'm feeding my family (because cross contamination is one of my big fears). I've started taking advantage of my Amazon Prime membership, working out after the kids are in bed and the hubs is at work. Pilates/Yoga are my favorites. Low impact, but working my entire body.

I'm now down 15lbs. I went from 160lbs to 145lbs in the last two months of really cracking down. Here are some pictures. (Ignore the guy dressed at the Union Jack - he's a blog post all to himself HAHA!)

*Sorry the pictures are so big. I'm not on my computer and for some reason I can make them any smaller.
