First Lunch Of Kindergarten!
09/07/2013 01:52Famer G has finally hit his limit for requesting PB & J's this year. I'm serious - the kid asked for the sandwich every single day of school last year. But today, that all changed.
Now, I've seen those insane Bento boxes from over achieving Mom's on Pinterest that mold the Mona Lisa out of brown rice and seaweed. Uhm, that's not me. As cute and I think those are, I just don't have the artistic or culinary ability to make it happen. I do however, like to spice things up and go beyond the regular sandwiches sometimes. I decided that this year, Farmer G and I are going to think outside the lunchbox and add a few non-traditional items. I also told him that we could do this together. Not everything is going to be super-organic-crunchy-hippie food either. I'll throw in some chips or cookies, even a fruit roll up if the mood strikes. The key is to give him a larger variety this year.
So, I give you Kindergarten Lunch #1.
Items include:
A slice of white pizza
Baby carrots and ranch dressing
Granny Smith Apple
Yogurt covered raisins
Juice box
Fire truck Lunchbox, obviously. (Last year was a Police Car. Haha)
